Clint Bowyer Racing tests Club 29 cars at Smoky Mountain

The Clint Bowyer Racing team made the trek from their North Carolina base of operations on Tuesday afternoon to test on the 4/10 mile Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. Particularly, the CBR crews and drivers hoped to fine tune their new Club 29 Race Cars in preparation for this weekend’s World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

Morgan Bagley, also a Club 29 campaigner, joined Bowyer drivers Don O’Neal and Darrell Lanigan for the test session. For Lanigan, a three-time WoO Late Models champion, it would be the first time behind the wheel of a car owned by the NASCAR star. O’Neal, the 2014 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion, would be making his first laps in a Club 29 machine.

The CBR cars look to compete regularly with the LOLMDS in 2016. Bagley’s plans for 2016 are not currently known but he was a full-time racer with the WoO Late Models Series in 2015.

Here are some photos from the test session:
