Madden jumped the cushion on the restart falling back to sixth as Nothdurft continued to lead and began pulling away. O’Neal powered his way by Bruening on lap 8 for second and set off after Nothdurft.

A caution flag waved on lap 10 for a flat tire on the Thornton car. At the time of caution, Nothdurft led O’Neal, Madden, Bruening and Owens. Another yellow waved immediately after the restart when Bronson slowed.

On the following restart, O’Neal went to the top side and blasted to the race lead. Further back, Owens moved to fourth by passing Bruening but another caution would slow the action lap 14 when Heckenast slowed. Under the caution, leader O’Neal pulled into the pit area for a new right rear tire. Owens also suffered a flat and had to pit.

Nothdurft was elevated to the race lead with all the flat tire. However, the No. 76 also had to pull into the pit area with a flat tire. Madden was then lifted to the top sport.

Madden drove away on the restart leaving Erb and Briggs to fight for second. Further back, those who had pitted for flat tire were on the rise as O’Neal blasted all the way to third. In the end, however, it was Madden who cruised to victory.
