Chris Madden won the first ever XR Working Man Series feature

The Rocket Chassis driver from Gray Court, SC earned $10,000 for his win.

Feature Re-cap: McDowell took the early lead when the green flag waved over the 40-lap feature with Madden, Bronson, Marlar and Thornton trailing. McCarter entered the top-5 on the second circuit by passing Thornton. At the same time, McDowell was looking like he would pull away from the field.

By lap 8, however, the early front runner found himself racing among slower traffic in a feature that would ultimately run caution free. As a result, lapped cars would play of role for the remainder of the night.

Madden closed in on McDowell on lap 14 as the traffic got thicker and thicker. Further back, Thornton regained the fifth spot by passing McCarter.

At lap 25, the top-4 cars looked as if they were running a high speed pace lap with McDowell and Madden side-by-side for the lead while just behind it was Bronson and Marlar contesting third and fourth. McDowell and Madden continued to run side-by-side on laps 26 and 27 before Madden would finally be able to use the high side to his advantage and assert himself as the race leader on lap 28.

Over the closing laps, McDowell kept Madden in his sights but was never able to regain the lead. Madden would eventually sail under the checkered flag to score the win.
