Feature Re-cap: Madden took the early lead at the start of the 50-lap feature with Pierce, Shirley, Sheppard and Erb following. Shirley got by Pierce for second on lap 2 as Madden attempted to pull away from the field.

Erb made an early move taking fourth away from Sheppard on the fifth circuit. He then pulled up and offered a challenge to Pierce for third.

Shirley closed in on Madden in hopes of taking the race lead on lap 10. In a feature that would run caution free, traffic began to play a factor for the front runners. That allowed Pierce and Erb to close in making it a four car fight at the front of the field.

Just before halfway, Pierce began to charge toward the front wresting the runner-up position away from Shirley. Using traffic to aid his advance, Pierce then closed in on Madden for the race lead.

Pierce’s efforts paid off on lap 32 when he took the lead. But Madden would fight back, going side-by-side with the No. 32 multiple before Pierce finally broke free from that battle and pulled away.

Over the closing laps, Pierce maintained control of the race and sailed to the checkered flag.
