*Please Note: These updates will focus primarily on the Southern Nationals Bonus race. Any other updates will be dependent on a number of factors, including attempts to get photos or stories from the main event. Also, my cell phone reception is very spotty at Tri-County, which could hamper my ability to deliver updates.
General Information: Drivers meeting is set to begin at 7:00pm.
Weather is expected to be very warm with no rain in the forecast.

Southern Nationals Bonus Series Super Late Models

Smith and Winger will be late arriving due to hauler troubles.
Qualifying Results: 1. D Payne(12.243), 2. Collins, 3. Oliver, 4. Ridley, 5. White, 6. S Chastain
*Payne’s qualifying lap was a new track record.
Smith and Winger did not make in time for qualifying. They will start the feature from the rear.
Heat Race Results: The feature lineup will be set entirely through time-trials. There will be no heat races.

9:58- Feature lined up on the front straight. 40 laps for $3000.

Austin Smith has come from last to first. He leads Collins,Payne, Oliver and Ridley with 10 to go.

My apologies for the lack of updates during the feature. I lost cell service just after the start. It was a tremendous race as Smith worked his way through the field. Once he caught Collins and Payne just after halfway, the three put on quite a show. At times, the leaders were three wide battling for the lead.
Smith assumed the lead with just over 10 laps remaining and drove on to the win.
