Carson Macedo
Carson Macedo led flag-to-flag on the opening night of the Sprint Car Stampede on the final weekend of competition for the Devel’s Bowl Speedway. It was the seventh series win of 2023 for the No. 41 and the first win at this venue for the driver who sits third in the overall standings. The victory came on the historic track where the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series first began to sanction races.
The Jason Johnson Racing driver from Lemoore, California won on the track located in Mesquite, Texas in a race aired live by DirtVision.com.

Feature Re-cap: At the start of the 25-lap feature it was Macedo who fired off into the early lead with Gravel, Bayston, Sweet and Price trailing. Macedo immediately began to slip away while Gravel, Bayston and Sweet were engaged in a battle just behind the front runner. Sweet took third from Bayston on lap 5 just before Genneten to bring out a caution on the sixth circuit.
Bayston reclaimed third on the restart while Gravel moved right onto the tail of Macedo’s car. Further back, McFadden had moved into the top-5.
Sweet once again passed by Bayston for third just before the halfway mark. The No. 49 car immediately moved in to challenge Gravel for the runner-up position as Macedo continued to lead. Gravel and Sweet began to close on Macedo when the leader began to encounter slower traffic on lap 18.
Meanwhile, Bayston and Price joined the fray with Macedo, Gravel and Sweet.
In the end, Macedo skillfully weaved his way through slower traffic and held off the advances of Gravel at the end to score his first ever victory at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.
