While it may not yet be time for the highly coveted Knoxville Nationals, a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series win at the Knoxville Raceway is still a win at the Knoxville Raceway. That’s what Brian Brown achieved on Friday night after an early race pass would give the six-time Knoxville Raceway track champion a lead that he would not relinquish for the remainder of the night.
The Brian Brown Racing driver from Higginsville, Missouri won on the track located in Knoxville, Iowa in a race shown live by DirtVision.com.
A total of 49 cars were signed in for competition

Feature Re-cap: The 25-lap feature began with McCarl taking the early lead over Brown, McFadden, Abreu and Sweet. On the second lap, Brown made his move passing McCarl for the leadership of the race. Further back, the top-3 in the series standings battled as Sweet, Macedo and Gravel mixed it up for positions 4-6.
Brown built an advantage of just over two seconds as Abreu began to harass McFadden for third. Sweet then joined that fight eventually passing both to seize the third position in the running order during the middle stages of the event.
As the laps clicked away, Sweet moved around McCarl for second bringing Abreu along. With Brown solidly in the lead, Sweet and Abreu fought over the second spot exchanging it multiple times over the closing laps with Abreu finally passing Sweet on the last lap.
But it was three-time Knoxville Nationals runner-up Brown who would ultimately take the checkered flag as the victor.
