These updates are brought to you by Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. The next event coming to SMS will be the Smoky Mountain Spring Showdown Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals on April 13, 2019.
Classes in action: Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series for $12,000-to-win(60 laps). There will be several of the track’s regular classes in action as well.
*Please Note: These updates will focus solely on the Southern All Stars race.
General Information:
The drivers meeting is slated for 12:30pm with hot laps to follow soon afterward.
Weather is expected to be partly cloudy and warm.
The race is named in honor of longtime dirt racing scorer Ginger Owens who passed away several weeks ago.
Neil Baggett and Casey Roberts won the two previous SAS races held in 2019. Both were contested at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL.
1:15- Hot laps for all classes are about to roll.
2:28- Southern All Stars qualifying about to begin.
3:00- After some track prep qualifying is underway.
