Classes in action: Spring Nationals Super Late Models for $10,000-to-win(60 laps).

*These updates will primarily focus on the Spring Nationals event.

General Information: Drivers meeting is slated for 6:00 with hot laps to begin soon thereafter.

Weather is expected to be mild with virtually no chance of rain.

Senoia Raceway is a 3/8 mile clay oval.

This will be the second race for the 2018 Spring Nationals Mini-Series.

This is a two-night event with Friday night’s feature paying $3,000-to-win and the Saturday night feature paying $10,000-to-win.

The Spring Nationals is an 11-race tour. The champion of the Mini-Series will receive a payment of $5,053.

5:55- Drivers meeting about to begin.

6:15- Hot laps for all divisions underway.

*Good race. Page went from fourth to first on the start but fell back to fourth. Multiple grooves in use again tonight.

*Third running Clanton hit the wall hard off of turn 2 on lap 7. Looks like significant damage to the right side of the car. King made a bid for the win on the last lap but Smith held on. Another race in which multiple grooves were used.

Heat 3 Lineup- 1. McDowell, 2. Massey, 3. Hickman, 4. Ingram, 5. Joiner, 6. Roberts, 7. Payne, 8. Kinzer, 9. Cameron

*McDowell led all the way but Hickman kept pace.

Lap 20- caution free so far. McDowell leads. Bloomquist up to second after starting ninth. Ridley, C Smith, A Smith follow.

Lap 28 caution as Michael Page slows. McDowell had to fight off challenges from Bloomquist as they raced in very heavy traffic. Ridley is third followed by C Smith, A Smith, Leonhardi, Hickman, Wells, Hardy, Clanton.

10 to go. McDowell and Bloomquist have pulled away from the field. Everyone single-file on the bottom.

Track locked down in the second half of the race and the front runners never caught traffic after that lap 28 caution.
