World of Outlaws Late Models: The WoO Late Models tour returned to action this past weekend following some time off after their season opening events in Georgia and Florida back in February.
Brandon Sheppard out-dueled some of the top stars in the sport to get his first WoO win of the season on Friday evening at Whynot Motorsports Park in Mississippi. After a lead swapping fight with National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame member Billy Moyer, Sheppard then had to beat back relentless challenges from Timothy Culp to take the checkered flag. At the finish, it was Brandon Sheppard winning over Timothy Culp, Chris Madden, Billy Moyer and Eric Wells. The win paid Sheppard $10,000. Click here for full story and complete rundown.
Saturday’s WoO Late Models race scheduled for the I-30 Speedway in Arkansas fell victim to rain.

Timothy Culp took the lead from early race leader Devin Moran and went on to score the win. Culp beat out Moran, Brandon Sheppard and BJ Robinson. Click here for full story and complete rundown.

Spring Nationals: After a disappointing weather postponement at Smoky Mountain Speedway a couple of weekends ago, the Ray Cook-promoted Spring Nationals got its mini-series campaign underway with a weekend double feature at Senoia Raceway in Georgia.
Michael Page started from the outside of the front row on Friday night but went to the lead of the race early on. From that point, he had to beat back numerous charges from pole sitter Dale McDowell. Donald McIntosh and Casey Roberts joined the fray as the leaders had to fight their way through slower traffic in a 40-lap feature that ultimately ran caution free. At the finish, Michael Page collected the $4,000 first prize ahead of Dale McDowell, Donald McIntosh, Casey Roberts, Brandon Overton and Jonathan Davenport. The Saturday night version of the Spring Nationals at Senoia saw an exciting race play out with a last lap pass for the win.
