Warrior Race Cars boss Sanford Goddard will put Mount Holly, NC driver Chris Ferguson in his house car on Saturday night at the Smoky Mountain Speedway for the $6,000-to-win Spring Nationals event to be held on the Maryville, Tenn. track.
Ferguson has driven Warriors for some time now but will take the reins of the Knoxville-based company’s #1G to put the car through its paces on its home track in a temporary effort.
Warrior fabricator Mike Nuchols confirmed the agreement between his company and Ferguson on Facebook as he referred to the young driver as one of the organization’s most loyal drivers.
Ferguson also posted on Facebook that he is “Excited to drive this bad boy this weekend” along with a photo of the car.
