SEYMOUR, Tenn. (February 19, 2017)—The Second Annual Frostbuster for Super Late Models will be this Saturday February 25th at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tennessee.
The Super Late Models, sanctioned by CT Promotions will pay $3,500-to-win and $400-to-start and feature a 40-lap main event. In addition to the Super Late Models, CT Promotions will also handle the officiating for the Open Wheel Modifieds and they will run for $1,000-to-win and $100-to-start. Also in action, will be the Crate Late Models racing for $1,500-to-win, Modified Street $1,000-to-win, Mini Stocks racing for $400-to-win and Classics racing for $400-to-win.
On Saturday February 25th, the pit gates will open at 9:00 am, drivers meeting at 11:45 am and hot laps will roll out at 12:00 noon. Adult grandstand admission is $20.00 while adult pit passes are $35.00.
There will be an open practice on Friday Night February 24th from 6:00 until 9:00 pm. The pits open at 5:00 pm. Grandstand admission is free for practice while pit passes are $15.00.
Advanced Auto Sales of Clinton. Tenn. will be putting up $100 for the overall fastest qualifier at the Frostbuster in the Mini Stock division and NSANE Hot Rods of White Pine, Tenn. will be putting up $100 for the overall fast qualifier in the Modified Street division.
Transponders will be used for timing and scoring and those can be rented for $20 for Super Late Model drivers ($10.00 scoring fee if the driver has their own transponder). Also, transponder rentals for the Crate Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks and Classics will be $5.00.
In 2016, Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, Tenn. claimed the top prize during the Inaugural Frostbuster race over Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga., Jimmy Owens of Newport, Tenn., Dustin Linville of Lancaster, Ky., and Greg Johnson of Bedford, Ind.
The Super Late Model tire rule for the Frostbuster will be Hoosier 1350 and 1600 along with the American Racer 48 and 56 compounds. The Open Wheel Modified tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier A40, A40S, H40 and American Racer Hard and Extra Hard. The Super Late Models will follow Southern Nationals/Iron-Man rules and procedures. The Modifieds will follow the Brucebilt Iron-Man Series rules. All other track’s divisions will follow 411 Motor Speedway rules and procedures. Super Late Model entry fee is $100 while the Open Wheel Modified entry fee is $20.
