- What was your first personal vehicle?
A 1967 Volkswagen Bug. It was a really nasty powder blue with a lot of rust on it. But the car that really launched my driving was a 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger that we called ‘Sudden Death’.
- What type of music do you listen to?
It’s really varied. Anything from B.B. King all the way to Ghost, which is a rock band that’s really kind of weird.
- What is your favorite pro or college sports team?
Miami Dolphins. I grew up a Dolphins fan.
- What hobby do you have away from the track?
I collected vintage BMX bikes. I don’t have a lot of them but I cherish the ones I have. I used to be a BMX racer and that’s how I started announcing.
- If you had a free vacation to anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Alaska Raceway Park is where I want to go next.
- What is your all-time favorite movie or television show?
Animal House
- Who is a non racer you admire(living or dead)?
Richard Allen, Kelley Carlton and Gene Leffler helped me develop this radio show. Their love of the sport is what I hope I have in my heart like they do in theirs.
