BRASSTOWN, NC (February 19, 2015)-Promoter Ray Cook has announced Points Fund cash awards that will be distributed at the end of the 2015 season for the Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals presented by Schaeffer’s Oil, the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals presented by Old Man’s Garage and the Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs.

The Spring Nationals Series will see the Champion receiving $5,053 with the second place receiving $2,553, third place receives $2,053, fourth place receives $1,553, fifth place receives $1,053, sixth place receives $753, seventh place receives $653 and eighth place in series points will receive $553 along with all other prefect attendance drivers. The total of the Spring Nationals Points fund for the entire 10-race mini tour is in excess of $15,000. Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn. is the 2014 series champion.

The Southern Nationals Series, which will go for its 11th season this year, will feature a points fund in excess of $15,000 with $5,053 going to the Series Champion, second place receives $2,553, third place receives $2,053, fourth place receives $1,553, fifth place receives $1,053, sixth place receives $753, seventh place receives $653 and eighth place in series points will receive $553 along with all other prefect attendance drivers. Chris Madden of Gray Court, S.C. is the defending series champion.

In addition to the two tours point funds, the series has announced a Combined Bonus for the top five drivers who finish the highest with both tours. The overall top driver from each series will receive $5,053, with second place receiving $2,553, third place receiving $2,053, fourth place receiving $1,553 and fifth place receiving $1,053.

A possible $15,000+ could be won by one driver this season if he wins the Spring and Southern Nationals with points fund monies from both tours and the Combined Bonus Money. Also, if a driver was to at least run fifth in both tours, he could receive $3,159 with point funds and the combined bonus.

The Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs will pay the top-three drivers at the end of the 14-race schedule with $3,053 going to the champion. Second place will receive $1,553 and third place will receive $753. Kenny Collins of Colbert, Ga. is the inaugural Bonus Series champion.

The four-race Revelution Race Cars Iron-Man Speed Week presented by Arizona Sport Shirts will feature four-straight nights in Kentucky and Tennessee September 3-6, 2015. The Speed Week, which will be sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series will feature a separate point fund for the top-five drivers at the end of the four-race tour which ends at Tazewell Speedway on Sunday Night September 6th. The Champion will receive $1,000, while second place receives $800, third place receives $500, fourth place receives $400 while fifth place will receive $300. This is based on 100 percent driver attendance for the top-five drivers and based on completion of all four events of the Speed Week.

The Arizona Sport Shirts Open Wheel Modified Iron-Man Speed Week presented by American Racer South will join with the Late Models each night racing for $1,000-to-win and $100-to-start and a top-five driver points fund. The Champion will receive $500, while second place receives $400, third place receives $300, fourth place receives $200 while fifth place will receive $100. This is based on 100 percent driver attendance for the top-five drivers and based on completion of all four events of the Modified Speed Week.

Promoter Ray Cook is excited about the 2015 season which is set to begin in less than two months. ‘There is not another regional tour in the country with a points fund like this’ stated Cook. All points fund monies are based off of 80 percent of races completed and 100 percent of racer attendance. An excess amount of $50,000 will be paid out this season for all three tours in point funds alone. Nearly $800,000 will be paid out to the drivers in all 36 races of the three tours spread out between March and November.

The Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals Series presented by Schaeffer’s Oil is set to begin action with the running of the “Tennessee Tipoff Classic” Weekend at Smoky Mountain (Tenn.) Speedway on March 13 & 14 with $5,000 to win and $10,000 to win being paid respectively each night.

The Southern Nationals Bonus Series by Collins Signs will kick off the 2015 campaign with a double-header of action on March 20 at Cleveland (Tenn.) Speedway paying $4,000-to-win during the 20th Annual Shamrock race and Saturday Night March 21st at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Ga. paying $4,000-to-win.
