Southern Nationals adds race at Boyd’s Speedway to complete schedule

According to a Twitter post from Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals spokesman Chris Tilley, the Ray Cook-promoted mini-series has added Boyd’s Speedway to its track lineup to complete their 2014 schedule.

The stop at the Ringgold, GA facility will be on Tuesday, July 29 and fills a previously open date. The feature race for that event will consist of 35 laps for a winner’s purse of $3,500.

The mid-summer series will kickoff competition at the Wythe Raceway in southwest Virginia on July 21. From there, the Southern Nationals will go to Bulls Gap, Tenn.(July 22), Phenix City, Ala.(July 24), Swainsboro, GA(July 25), Sylvania, GA(July 26), Rome, GA(July 27), Ringgold, GA(July 29), Wheel, Tenn.(July 31), Maryville, Tenn.(August 1) and Tazewell, Tenn.(August 2).
