InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series sanctioned race from Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn. on Thursday evening, August 18, 2016. These updates are being provided by Richard Allen( @RichardAllenIDR on Twitter).

*Please Note: These updates will focus primarily on the Super Late Model race. Any other updates will be dependent on a number of factors including obtaining photos and/or stories related to that event.

General Information:

Weather is expected to be warm with a chance for spotty showers.

Drivers meeting is set for 7:00 with hot laps to begin soon thereafter.

7:10- Drivers meeting about to begin.

7:50- Track prep still ongoing.

8:30- Still waiting for the track prep to be completed. It rained earlier today which is causing the delay.

8:50- Cars being called to the race track.

9:15- Hot laps underway.

Heat Race Results:

Heat 1 Results – 1. Bloomquist, 2. B Ogle, 3. Madden, 4. Owens, 5. R King, 6. Elliott, 7. Ligon

*The top-4 were tight at the end. A bobble by Madden in turn 1 at the start caused contact between he and Owens. A lap 4 caution for a flat tire on Ligon allowed Ogle to get around Madden for second on the restart.

Heat 2 Results – 1. Davenport, 2. Wolfenbarger, 3. C Ogle, 4. Collins, 5. Buckingham, 6. Hines, 7. Fisher

*Davenport led all the way and won by half-track.

Heat 3 Results – 1. McDowell, 2. Weiss, 3. Vineyard, 4. McIntosh, 5. Franklin, 6. White, 7. Mac

*McDowell bolted to the lead at the green flag and led all the way. Weiss close to his rear spoiler on the last lap when McDowell got caught in traffic.

B-main Results: No B-main will be needed.

11:33- Feature rolling out. 50 laps for $12,000.

11:45- Four wide!

11:47- Green flag!

Caution as the cars came to the flag stand to complete lap 1. B Ogle slowed from the 3rd spot(not sure if there was contact with another car). Several cars piled in, including Vineyard and Collins. Bloomquist leads Davenport, Weiss, C Ogle, Owens, McDowell, Wolfenbarger, McIntosh, Buckingham, R King.

McDowell has pulled off track under the caution. He’s done for the night along with Vineyard and Collins.

Lap 21 caution. Davenport moved under Bloomquist for the lead in heavy traffic. There was contact and Bloomquist went around. Davenport now leads over Weiss, Owens, McIntosh, C Ogle, Wolfenbarger, R King, Hill. Bloomquist crew working on the car.

Bloomquist has returned to the track at the tail.

Lap 27 caution for flat on Franklin. Owens moved to second on the last restart and was all over Davenport. Weiss, McIntosh and R King follow.

Lap 33 caution for third running Weiss stopped on track. Davenport still leads but Owens continues to pressure him. McIntosh now third followed by R King, Bloomquist, C Ogle, Wolfenbarger, Hill, B Ogle. The action has been intense.

Lap 35 caution for Elliott. Davenport leads Owens, McIntosh and Bloomquist.

Lap 44 caution as Hines while being passed by Davenport and Owens as they raced side-by-side for the lead. Owens not happy with Davenport. Bloomquist is up to third.

Lap 46 caution as fifth running R King loses a wheel. Davenport leads Owens, Bloomquist, McIntosh, C Ogle, Wolfenbarger, B Ogle
