InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series sanctioned race from Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. on Saturday evening, June 18, 2016. These updates are being provided by Richard Allen( @RichardAllenIDR on Twitter).

*Please Note: These updates will focus primarily on the Super Late Model race. Any other updates will be dependent on a number of factors including obtaining photos and/or stories related to that event.

General Information:

Weather is warm and clear.

Drivers meeting is set for 6:30 with hot laps to begin soon thereafter.

*Douglas dominated. Marlar got sideways on lap 1 which jumbled the running order a bit.

*Giffin led all the way but Boles made a bid for the lead on the final lap with the two cars making contact before getting to the checkered flag.

9:25- Feature cars rolling out.

*There appears to be trouble under the hood of the Ferguson car before the pace laps even begin. The car is being pushed off the track.  The car was leaking fuel.

9:34- Four wide!

*Ferguson now returns after a quick repair. He will be allowed to assume his front row starting spot.

9:37- Green flag!

Lap 13 caution. McIntosh leads Weiss, Cook, Arp, Collins, Franklin, Roberts, Douglas, Crabtree, Kerr. Ferguson took the initial lead and led the first 7 laps before pulling off track as his mechanical issues resurfaced.

Lap 15 caution for spin by Best. McIntosh still leads but Cook is now second ahead of Weiss and Arp.

Huge crash on the backstretch on the lap 15 restart when Weiss and Cook got together off of turn two. Cook bounced off the wall and several cars piled in. Cook, Bailes, Douglas, Crabtree, Moses, Elliott among those involved. All drivers reported to be ok.

McIntosh was on cruise control after the final caution. Arp was running third until he dropped out with two laps to go.
