InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates for the Spring Nationals race as well as the Crate Late Models from Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN on Saturday evening, April 25, 2015. These updates are being provided by Richard Allen( @RichardAllenIDR on Twitter).

Classes in action: Spring Nationals Super Late Models for $6,000-to-win, Crate Late Models for $1,500-to-win, and Street Stocks for $750-to-win.

*Please Note: These updates will focus primarily on the Spring Nationals race and the Crate Late Models. Any other updates will be dependent on a number of factors, including stories/photos related to the other events.

General Information: Drivers meeting is scheduled for 6:00pm with racing to begin soon afterwards.

7:40- Time to qualify.

Qualifying Results: 1. M Marlar(16.533), 2. Roberts, 3. Boles, 4. Kerr

Straight up qualifying with the top-4 going to the dash race.

*Owens had to bring out a backup car for qualifying after suffering engine trouble in hot laps.

*Madden had a flat tire during qualifying and did not complete a lap. He will have to start at the rear of his heat.

*Coulter hit the wall pretty hard on his qualifying lap.

*Owens and McDowell will start from the pole in the two heat races.

*Starting lineup for the dash will be Kerr, Roberts, Marlar, Boles.

Dash Race Results: 1. Roberts, 2. Kerr, 3. Boles, 4. Marlar

Heat Race Results:

Heat 1 finish- 1. Owens, 2. Crabtree, 3. Arp, 4. Best, 5. Madden, 6. S Marlar, 7. King, 8. Wolfenbarger, 9. Smith

Heat 2 finish- 1. McDowell, 2. Payne, 3. McIntosh, 4. Welshan, 5. B Ogle, 6. C Ogle, 7. Wilson, 8. Dotson, 9. Vineyard

Two heat races transferring the top-9 from each.

Feature Notes:

9:30- Cars rolling out for the feature.

Kerr pulls off the grid onto pit road to change a flat tire. He will get his starting spot back.

9:38- Four wide!

9:41- Green flag!

Lap 15- Caution free so far. Roberts leads Kerr, McDowell, Marlar and Owens

Lap 19 caution. Roberts took the lead from Kerr in traffic on lap 11. McDowell just passed Kerr for second when the caution came out so he had to give the spot back. Order is Roberts, Kerr, McDowell, Marlar, Owens, Boles, McIntosh, Madden and Arp.

Lap 42 caution for Kerr with a flat. He had been fading. Roberts leads McDowell, McIntosh, Owens, Marlar, Madden, Boles, B Ogle, Best, Wilson, C Ogle. McIntosh may be fastest car on track.

Lap 44 caution for Boles. McIntosh bobbled on the restart and fell to sixth. Owens got around McDowell to grab second.

Caution on the restart for incident between S Marlar and Dotson.

Roberts was able to pull away from Owens on the final restart for the win.

Longhorns won on both nights were at SMS. Randy Weaver won last night but did not return to night.

Roberts thanks Weaver for not coming in his post-race interview.

Qualifying Results: 1. Wyatt(17.508), 2. Martin, 3. Hunter, 4. White, 5. Welshan, 6. Henderson

Feature Notes:

10:23- Green flag!

Lap 5 caution. Wyatt spins as he and Martin were in a tight battle for the lead. Martin keeps the lead over Welshan and Hunter. Wyatt to the rear.

Lap 12 caution for 3rd running Hunter in the turn 2 wall. Welshan got alongside Martin on the last restart but Martin held the lead. Henderson is third ahead of White, Ownby, King, Fields and McMahan.

Lap 13 caution as Martin hits the turn 2 wall. Welshan leads.

Welshan built a comfortable lead after he got to the front.

Street Stocks

Feature Results: 1. Wesley Lester, 2. Gary Blanken, 3. Tony Horton, 4. Ty Crisp.

Lester made the race winning pass on the last lap.
