Classes in action: Southern Nationals Super Late Models for $3,500-to-win(35 laps)

*Due to spotty cell reception at Tri-County, these updates will focus solely on the Southern Nationals race. 

General Information: 

Drivers meeting is set for 6:45pm.

Dale McDowell won the series opener at Wythe Raceway on Saturday night while David Crabtree picked up the victory in round 2 at 411 Motor Speedway on Tuesday.

7:10- It’s clear now but a rain shower came through earlier. It will take a little while to get the track run in.

8:35- After a delay of about one hour due to an earlier rain shower, hot laps for all classes are underway.

11:08- Green flag!

Lap 9 caution for spin by Painter. Buckingham leads Roberts, Weiss, Collins, Gilpin, McIntosh, Putnam, Lloyd, Brown, Oenbey, Moses.

Lap 17 caution for Oliver. Buckingham still leads Roberts and Weiss. Gilpin, Collins and McIntosh really mixing it up in positions 4-6. Series leader Brown has damage to the rear of his car and will restart 9th.

Lap 23 caution for Ownbey stopped on track. Buckingham and Roberts had broken away during that run.

Roberts closed late and made a move inside Buckingham on the last lap but couldn’t complete the pass.
