InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates from the Southern Nationals race from the Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN for Friday night, July 31, 2015. Tonight’s updates are being provided by Richard Allen( @RichardAllenIDR on Twitter).

Classes in action: Southern Nationals Super Late Models for $5,300-to-win, Limited Late Models for $1200-to-win and Street Stocks for $500-to-win.

*These updates will primarily focus on the Southern Nationals and Limited Late Model races. Other updates may be limited in favor of obtaining photos and/or stories. 

General Information: Drivers meeting is set to begin at 6:30pm.

Weather is predicted to be warm with virtually no chance for rain.

With two races remaining in the series, Casey Roberts(1224) leads the Southern Nationals standings over Billy Ogle, Jr.(1214), Donald McIntosh(1197), Austin Smith(1193) and Vic Hill(1173)

B-main Results: There will be two B-mains transferring the top-8 from each.

B-main 1- 1. Douglas, 2. Arp, 3. Smith, 4. Franklin, 5. Wolfenbarger, 6. Boles, 7. Whitener, 8. Best. *Hill broke on lap 4 with a pretty big lead. He’ll get a provisional.

They will start the feature in positions 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19

B-main 2- 1. McIntosh, 2. McCarter, 3. Vosbergen, 4. White, 5. Ellis, 6. Kerr, 7. Moses, 8. Welshan. *Dotson gets a provisional out of this race.

They will start the feature in positions 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20

9:45- Feature being called to the track.

Feature is 53 laps for $5300-to-win.

9:55- Cars lined up on the front stretch.

10:00- Four wide!

10:03- Green flag!

Lap 5 caution for White slow on track. Weaver already had a lead of half a straightaway. Ogle, McDowell, Roberts, McIntosh, Arp, Douglas, Franklin, McCarter and Vosbergen round out the top-10.

Lap 7 caution for Arp off the pace. He had just taken 5th from McIntosh. Weaver still leads Ogle, McDowell, Roberts, McIntosh, Vosbergen, Douglas, Smith, McCarter, Franklin.

Halfway- Weaver has a big lead. Ogle, McDowell and Roberts battling for 2-4.

Lap 31 caution as Boles stops on track. Weaver leads Ogle, McDowell, Roberts, Vosbergen, Smith, McIntosh, Franklin, Douglas, Ellis, Hill, McCarter, Moses.

Lap 49 caution as 2nd running McDowell breaks something in the rear end of the car. Weaver leads Ogle, Roberts, Smith, Vosbergen, Franklin, McIntosh, Ellis, McCarter, Moses

Weaver dominated.

10:36- Cars lining up on track.

10:42- Green flag!

Initial start is waved off as Trammell’s car fails to come up to speed.

Hayes spins to bring out the caution on the second attempt to go green. Kennedy’s car stalls and has to be pushed off the track.

Lap 5 caution for heavy smoke and fluid from third running King car. Manley leads Hall, Best, Tipton, Giffin, Coffey.

This will be a lengthy caution as much fluid was dumped on the track.

Lap 7 caution for Best in the turn 3 wall. Manley leads Hall, Tipton, Giffin, Coffey.
