Live Updates: NeSmith Late Models at I-75 Raceway(6-10-17)

InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series race from I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, TN on Friday evening, June 9, 2017. These updates are being provided by Richard Allen( @RichardAllenIDR on Twitter).

Classes in action: NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series for $2,000-to-win(40 laps) as well as features for the Sportsman, B-Hobby, Thunder and Four Cylinder classes.

*Please Note: These updates will focus primarily on the NeSmith Late Models. Any other updates will be dependent on a number of factors, including driver roster availability and timeliness of the event.

General Information: Drivers meeting is scheduled for 7:30pm with hot laps to begin soon afterwards.

Weather is expected to be very nice with relatively cool temperatures and clear skies.

This is part of a two night trip to east Tennessee for the NeSmith Late Models. The series will move to 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday.

Cory Hedgecock leads the NeSmith standings over Brandon Williams, Grant Garrison, Marcus Minga and Andy Picklesimer.

Cory Hedgecock has won 12 of the 21 races he has entered so far this season.

Feature Notes:

9:55- Feature rolling out. 40 laps for $2,000.

10:12- Green flag!

Red flag on the initial start as Minga rolls over and comes to rest on his top. Driver reported to be ok. Complete restart upcoming.

10:21- Second green flag!

Lap 8 caution for spin by Picklesimer. Lowe leads Hedgecock, Horner, Manley, Roberson, Arthur, Henderson

Lap 26 caution for spin by Manley. Lowe leads Hedgecock, Horner, Arthur, Roberson, Manley (put back in his spot), Henderson, Mayfield, Garrison, White, Knowles

Hedgecock passed Lowe on the outside for the lead on lap 28 then Lowe tracked him down and retook the lead with an inside pass on lap 33.
