*Please Note: These updates will focus primarily on the LOLMDS and Limited Late Model races. Any other updates will be dependent on a number of factors, including attempts to get photos or stories from the main event. 

General Information: Racing is set to begin just after 7:00pm.

The weather forecast calls for a chance of thundershowers in the afternoon but ending by evening.

Jonathan Davenport enters this event on a nine race winning streak.

Davenport leads the LOLMDS standings over Earl Pearson, Jr., Jimmy Owens, Don O’Neal and Scott Bloomquist.

7:00- Drivers meeting underway.

7:25- Hot laps about to begin.

Fastest in each hot lap group was Owens, M Marlar, Davenport and Bloomquist.

Something happened to Davenport’s car on his warmup lap and he was only 15th out of 16 in Group B.

Heat Race Results:

There will be four heats transferring the top-4 from each.

Heat 1- 1. Ferguson, 2. Moran, 3. Owens, 4. Carrier…5. Francis, 6. Casebolt, 7. King, 8. Vineyard

Ferguson won by more than a straightaway but the racing from 2nd-6th was tremendous. Owens was shuffled back on lap one and had to make a couple of late passes to get back to 3rd.

Heat 2- 1. Weaver, 2. M Marlar, 3. O’Neal, 4. Kerr…5. Sheppard, 6. S Marlar, 7. Payne, 8. Carver

Very competitive race between Weaver and Marlar. Kerr came from 7th to get to 4th.

Heat 3- 1. Bloomquist, 2. C Roberts, 3. Davenport, 4. Pearson… 5. Cook, 6. Douglas, 7. Franklin, 8. S Roberts.

Bloomquist led all the way and was never really challenged. Davenport put on quite a show slicing inside and outside, passing EPJ on the last lap for 3rd.

Heat 4- 1. Arp, 2. Landers, 3. Brown, 4. McIntosh… 5. Erb, 6. Webb, 7. Bailey, 8. Wolfenbarger

Arp won by a big margin. Wolfenbarger crashed on lap 1 and retired from the event.

B-main Results:

The top-3 from each B-main will transfer.

B-main 1- 1. Francis, 2. Casebolt, 3. Sheppard

B-main 2- 1. Cook, 2. Erb, 3. Franklin

Feature Notes:

10:10- Feature rolling out. 50 laps for $10,000.

10:18- Four wide!

Sorry for phone issues which caused lack of updates.

Ferguson went to the early lead but Weaver went to the lead on lap 16.

Davenport charged through the pack to get third and almost passed Bloomquist at the line.

There were two cautions. Arp crashed on lap 1 and Brown spun just a few laps later.

Feature Notes:

11:00- Feature about to start.

Lap 12 caution as Knuckles hits the turn 1 wall. Hedgecock took the lead at the drop of the green flag but Knuckles had reeled him in as they got in traffic but he slammed the wall before he could make a move. Manley now second followed by Kennedy and Wilson.

Hedgecock won it going away.
