Boyd’s, Dixie & Rome will complete Spring Nationals Series

BRASSTOWN, NC (May 15, 2015)—The 2015 Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals Series by Schaeffer’s Oil points battle will come down to the final three events.

 

On Friday Night May 22, the tour will make it’s third-ever appearance to Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Ga. for a 40-lap $4,000-to-win event. On Saturday Night May 23 the series will visit the Swims Family owned Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Ga. for the tour’s third appearance paying $4,000-to-win then on Sunday Night May 24 the tour’s final event will feature a new venue. Rome Speedway in Rome, Ga. will be the host of the final series points event which will be a 50-lap $6,000-to-win race.

 

Chris Madden of Gray Court, S.C. currently leads the Spring Nationals contingent into the final three Georgia races with just a 14-point lead over Knoxville, Tenn. driver Billy Ogle Jr. Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga., a former Dixie and Rome Speedway track champion is third in the series points as David Payne of Murphy, N.C. sits fourth and Stacy Boles of Clinton, Tenn. is fifth. Sixth through tenth in the series points are Austin Smith of Cedartown, Ga. sixth, Mark Dotson of Cameron, Mo. seventh, Jason Croft of Woodstock, Ga. eighth, Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, Ga. ninth and Mike Marlar of Winfield, Tenn. tenth.

 

At Boyd’s Speedway on May 22nd, both gates will open at 4:00 pm, the driver’s meeting is slated for 6:30 and hot laps will roll out around 7:00 pm. The Crate Late Models, A-Hobby, B-Hobby and Pony classes will all be on the racing card. General admission is $17.00 for adults, children 12 and under are free and adult pit passes will be $30.00 with children ages 7-12 admitted for $10.00.

 

At Dixie Speedway on May 23rd, the pit gates will open at 4:00 pm, grandstand gates open at 5:00 pm, driver’s meeting slated for 6:30 pm and hot laps will roll out at 7:00 pm EST. The Econo Bombers, Super Bombers, Pony Stocks, Street Cruisers, Crate Late Models and Steel Head/525 Late Models will be the support divisions. General admission is $18.00 for adults, children ages 9-17 are $6.00 and children 8 and under are free. Tailgate admission is $25.00 with children ages 11 and under $11.00. Adult pit passes will be $35.00 with children ages 11 and under $11.00.

The tire rule for Boyd’s, Dixie and Rome Speedway’s will be as follows: Hoosier 1350, 1600 & LM40 along with the American Racer 48 and 56 compounds. At each Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals, Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals and Southern Nationals Bonus Series event in 2015, the highest finishing CT525 engine in the main event will receive a $200 bonus and the highest finishing Steel Head/SPEC engine will also receive a $200 bonus.

 

On Monday Night following the three-race Spring Nationals Series swing, the Southern Nationals Bonus Series will hold an event at Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, NC during their Fifth Annual Memorial Day Championship race paying $3,000-to-win and $300-to-start. This will make four events for the family of series during the Holiday weekend and over $75,000 in total prize money up for grabs.
