411 Motor Speedway set to host ‘The Leftover’

Somerset, KY (November 23, 2016)-  What is there to do after the Thanksgiving turkey dinner with family is over on Thanksgiving Day…watch football, go shopping on Black Friday, take a nap, or something else?  In 2016, there will be an additional choice-there will be a RACE to attend!

411 Motor Speedway located in Seymour, Tenn. along with track owner Mitch McCarter and CT Promotions will present the inaugural “Leftover” event at 411 Motor Speedway on Friday November 25 and Saturday November 26.   “The Leftover” will take place Thanksgiving weekend on Friday November 25 with an open practice and Saturday November 26.  Saturday’s race will feature four exciting divisions of competition, with Super Late Models racing for $5,000 to win, Crate Late Models racing for $2,000 to win, Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $1,200 to win, and Sportsman Late Models racing for $1,200 to win.

Events for “The Leftover” weekend at 411 Motor Speedway will get underway on Friday November 25 with an open practice for all divisions scheduled to take place from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with the general admission and pit area opening at 5:00 p.m. (times are EST).  Ticket prices for the open practice on Friday November 25 in the general admission will be FREE, while a pit pass will be $15.

“The Leftover” race events will take place on Saturday November 26 with the CT Promotions sanctioned Super Late Models contesting a 50 lap main event that will pay $5,000 to win and $450 to start, while CT Promotions sanctioned Open Wheel Modifieds will be in action in a 25 lap main event that will pay $1,200 to win and $125 to start.

CT Promotions will sanction and officiate the Super Late Model and Open Wheel Modified portions of The Leftover racing program.  The Super Late Models will race under Southern Nationals Series rules and procedures with the following tire compound rules for all four tires on the cars:  Hoosier 1350, 1600 and/or American Racer 48, 56.  The entry fee for Super Late Models is $100. The highest finishing CT525 in the main event will receive a $200 bonus and the highest finishing all steel/SPEC engine will also receive a $200 bonus from CT Promotions.

The Open Wheel Modifieds will race under CT Promotions sanctioned procedures with UMP DirtCar body rules and use the following tire compound rules for all four tires on the cars:  Hoosier A40S, A40, H40 and/or American Racer Hard, Extra Hard.  The entry fee for the Open Wheel Modifieds is $10.

Also in action at 411 Motor Speedway as part of “The Leftover” event will be the track’s Crate Late Models and Sportsman Late Models.  The Crate Late Models will compete in a 35 lap feature contest that will pay $2,000 to win and $150 to start, while the Sportsman Late Models will be featured in a 25 feature event that will pay $1,200 to win and $100 to start.  The Crate Late Model and Sportsman Late Model divisions will race under 411 Motor Speedway rules and procedures.

Activities for “The Leftover” event on Saturday November 26 will see the general admission and pit area open at 11:00 a.m., with the drivers meeting set to take place at 2:30 p.m., with on-track activities beginning immediately following the drivers meeting (all times EST).  Of notes, times may be adjusted based on weather temperature forecasts.  Ticket prices for “The Leftover” at 411 Motor Speedway in the general admission will be $20, with children ages 12 and under FREE.  A pit pass will be $35, with children ages 12 and under $15 with a signed release form.

In addition to the Leftover race on November 26th, the 7th Annual Hangover Race will be on Saturday December 31st at the 411 Motor Speedway again paying the Super Late Models the $4,000 top prize. An open practice will be held on Friday afternoon December 30th in preparation for this race. More details will be announced in the coming weeks on this exciting race.
