Answers to the following questions will appear in red.

1. What was your first personal vehicle?

“I took my dad’s old truck over. I think it was an ’01 or an ’03 Silverado. It was red.”

2. What type of music do you listen to?

“Man, I listen to literally everything. Country, rap, R&B. I listen to the hard core rap you can’t understand all the way to country that makes you want to cry. I listen to everything. I’m probably the most open music in the pits. I can listen to some Lil Wayne or I can listen to Keith Whitley.”

3. What is your favorite pro or college sports team?

“Memphis Grizzlies and it’s not even close.”

4. What hobby do you have away from the track?

“Man, I spend a lot of time in the shop just trying to get this right, but I like to go to Grizzlies games. I like to play poker. I like to play basketball and football video games, I don’t play any of that shooting stuff. I watch a helluva a lot of NBA.”

5. If you had a free vacation to anywhere in the world, where would you go?

“I’m not too pumped up about flying out of the States. I’ll tell you, I’d probably go to New York City at a time when I could see a basketball game at Madison Square Garden then go watch the Jets play. I’d want to go up there when I could see a couple of sporting events and still see the city and the Statue of Liberty.”

6. What is your all-time favorite movie or television show?

“Dumb and Dumber and it’s not even close.”

7. Who is a non racer who you admire(living or dead)?

“I’ll tell you, I’m a big basketball fan and I don’t know him personally, but just the way Mike Conley(Memphis Grizzlies point guard) carries himself on and off the court and the same thing with Zach Randolph(Grizzlies forward). The guys that carry themselves right on and off the floor. I saw John Wall(Washington Wizards point guard) after he got done shooting before a game sit there and BS with some fans then he went out of his way to take a picture with some little kid and make him look like he was the only kid there. I look up to a lot of pro athletes that carry themselves well.”

8. What is your favorite restaurant?

“I’d say probably Logan’s Roadhouse. I like them the best.”

9. Name a skill or ability you wish you had.

“I’ll tell you what, if I couldn’t drive a race car I wish I could be into sports. Or realistically, I’d be a commentator on the NBA. That would be badass.”

10. Are you a late sleeper or an early riser?

“Ha, I don’t even have to answer that. Everybody knows I’m not an early riser. I don’t operate well before nine o’clock. I can see the backside of six o’clock, but I can’t see the front side of six o’clock. But that’s thing, you roll your hours back when you drive a race car for a living because you can’t get up at seven o’clock in the morning and then be perfect at ten o’clock at night. The normal guy that works an office job, they get up early, but at seven o’clock they’re in their recliner relaxing. But at seven o’clock, my job is just starting.”
